Financial Assistance
We can often help by providing financial assistance to pay part of the cost of alternative therapies, respite care and special equipment such as beds, wheelchairs and other aids to help maintain an independent life. The MS Society is committed to helping all people with MS and equal consideration will be given to each application. All applications for grants are discussed by a panel of three members of the committee (names are not divulged so anonymity is assured). All grants must be approved before items are purchased and cannot be awarded retrospectively. To find out more about applying for a welfare grant please contact us
Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)
The local CAB offers free help and advice to anyone with questions relating to benefits, housing problems or employment and workplace questions. Help is available with completing complex forms and answering questions on a range of subjects such as where to find help with care, mobility aids or transport. Interviews are held in the CAB office in Meer Street, Stratford-upon-Avon or at a number of Outreach sessions around the District. Home visits can be arranged if necessary.
